(2012) Values and Norms in Modeling (VaNiM) 2012 Conference

On June 25th and 26th the group of Philosophy of Technology will host the 2012 VaNiM conference. The program can be found here.

(2012)  Evolutionary Modelling reading group

A reading group on Evolutionary Modelling will start.  For more information contact Koen Frenken.  Meetings take place from 11h00 to 13h00 at 10 January, 31 January, 14 February, 6 March and 27 March.  Topics and place will be announced through the regular weekly Ecis email.

(2011)  TU/e appoints Rosalind Williams as distinguished professor

The Eindhoven University of Technology has appointed Professor Rosalind Williams as distinguished professor for a period of three years. Professor Williams holds the chair of History of Science and Technology at MIT. Within Ecis, she will participate in the research program `Modern Societies in Transition´, led by Johan Schot.

(2011)  Paolo Saviotti guest professor at Ecis

Professor Paolo Saviotti has accepted a guest professorship at Ecis from 2012 to 2014. Professor Saviotti has published extensively on technical change from an evolutionary perspective. Within Ecis, he is appointed to will participate in the research program `Technology Flows, Knowledge Economy & Economic Performance´, led by Koen Frenken.

(2011)  ECIS receives high scores in research assessment

ECIS research programmes have received high scores in the latest research assessment exercise by the QANU, with an average score of 4.37 on a scale between 1 to 5. See the full report here.
